About three years ago, I got my one and (so far) only tattoo, a phoenix rising out of a fire on my lower left leg. Being that it’s going to be visible for hopefully quite a long time, I wanted something that would be meaningful to me. I think these have to be my favorites … First, can anything bring a huge wave of schadenfreude-istic smiles to people like a typo on a tattoo? I can laugh because it didn’t happen to me …
As for questionable designs, I would think a subway map would certainly have to qualify …
Or how about branding a fast food logo on your body for all time? There’s more than one person out there who’s thought this was a great idea!

Just an advice. If you have a tatoo Japan might not be the right place for you… you don’t want to be taken for a yakuza. Many Onsen baths will not allow you to undress (especially on the country side)
